@losman94@12DAYSOFMOVIES Having a small farm in Utah, my land was initially plagued with gophers. One of my extermination techniques was to pump propane into the tunnels and then light it. Bad idea. Really bad idea. Gopher Kong.
#Agile leaders have responsibility for operating a self-organizing infrastructure, an OS of sorts, so teams can be successful with limited oversight. They’re responsbile for a transparent and collaborative work environment where teams can create value without impediments.
@RapBastardz A good thing. But whereas fungus, bacteria, and virus continue to evolve, our species becomes weaker by the day. By the time there is a vaccine for COVID-19, that’s when COVID-20 will arrive on the scene.
Chaired the session on Artifacts at #ICPC20 https://t.co/e6bQfu4sjL. We had great talks and discussions. Congraturations to all speakers and participants! Also our thanks go to the virtualization/organizing teams and student volunteers.
@sdefrancis@43Biden@JoeBiden How did we get to this place where, just because we register with a party, we feel like we have to vote for all that party’s candidates? Anymore, I just vote for the candidates who I think will do the least harm.
I spent much of this past week reading the Federalists Papers, the US Constitution, and it’s 27 Amendments. If you’re even semi-literate, you’ll know that independence and freedom have nothing to do with hating and fighting your fellow citizens.
Thank you Jeff; right on. I work with some “agile” teams that are are so myopic they see no value in sharing their retrospectives. Seems some people think that you have to abandon organizational identity for team identity. They should remember where their paycheck comes from.
To get value from being #agile, ensure you have an effective way of capturing, disseminating, and learning from the the relevant lessons captured at each team's retrospective.
P.S. If you don't have a way of helping everyone, you're wasting your time.
To get value from being #agile, trust the team to estimate the work. No one else knows what it's going to take.
p.s. after you've ignored this and failed, try really trusting the team again.
A must read for any organization that wants to be truly Agile, or those organizations that think they are (but are not)! You cannot scale Agile, you can only scale self-organization.
