@jchensor The whole problem is that this stupid mechanic is happening 24/7. So take everything you said and imagine all the small situations you can potentially lose in a match due to this. Every single situation in this game can lead into a looping offense scenario easily.
It's true all of the stuff mentioned here has always existed. The only problem is that there's a difference between a 50/50 and a forced 50/50.
The issue is not the mix up itself. The issue is how you're getting there and what the games are allowing players to do to enforce the mix up. Older games would give you a plethora of options and ways to open up an opponent whilst allowing the defender the ability to come up with a gameplan and react accordingly. In newer games like Tekken 8, you're forced to stand still and in most cases TAKE the mix up or eat insane amounts of chip damage. A scenario that was not truly earned by the aggressor. I don't think the anger towards fighting games has come out of the blue.
The games have been intentionally designed to make newer players feel stronger and limit defensive play which is where stronger players have historically dominated.
@ClassicOldSong Just want to say extreme thank you for the Apollo/Artemis forks. You have transformed my gaming setup. I hope you can continue to keep supporting it. Lmk if you have a donation link. Thanks!!
@PointFGC@Rio_FGC I gave you examples too. SF players always do well in early NRS and get retired eventually, just like NRS players in SF/Tekken. The difference is you can make a career from SF/Tekken with real sponsors and money. GTFO
@PointFGC@Rio_FGC I'm weird? Your boy above is the one calling out other scenes. The reality is NRS games have no incentive to compete at a high level. Declining payouts, demonetization and banned in several countries, and your own community shits on the game hard (see MK1 discourse).
@PointFGC@Rio_FGC All of them got retired. That's like me bragging about Chris G in MK9/MKX/Injustice and Jwong dominating in early MKX. I myself got top 8 in a 300+ MKX tournament and I'm from Tekken. NRS players don't keep up with the top 2 FGC games, ever.
@Rio_FGC Why would they? NRS games have no money and the competition pool is far lower than SF and Tekken. Both of those games have huge international presence. Your game is banned in several countries and demonetized because NRS can't put a simple gore toggle lmao
@GreetingzMortal@Snake_Eyez_@aairwandy He used LG C2 as the test display which is a 4K 120hz TV. Since you love objective science, you can reduce input lag even further using 240hz, 360hz, or even higher refresh rates on PC. Now come back and tell me it doesn't matter since SF6 is capped to 60 FPS. I'll wait. 🤣
TOs are walking a thin line. Majors were necessary when the games had shit netcode and you had to get good offline practice. Now, the online experience at home on PC is superior to offline PS5. Stay home and make money on Twitch/YouTube instead of wasting money.
@TheAlexValle Skilled players will run a cost benefit analysis and prefer not to skip rent to gamble at a tournament. Stay at home and content create instead. 🙂
@Bigbird_fgc Players are dead last in priority. That's why the excuse to switch to competent PC setups is always cost for TOs. What about costs for the player? We can just skip your tournament to save our own money too. That shit is 700-1k unsponsored costs. 🤣
Don't worry, it's not limited to SF6 either. Kkokkoma been having a mental breakdown wondering why Tekken at Dreamhack felt so slow. He can't even recreate it on his own PS5! 😂

I sat down to play casuals with Du, when I went to plug my USB… I found out that the blue part in Ps5 ports melted onto my arcade stick’s USB and I couldn’t plug it in anymore
Had to remove it manually, you need something thin to be able to remove it
@Bigbird_fgc Yup, Ending Walker was a salt bucket all weekend over PS5 lag. It's insanity that such high stakes are being played on a console with higher lag, on top of inconsistency between setups. One of the PS5s at Dreamhack had a burnt USB port and still used for tourney. 🤣
