Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) is now required for online play in Rocket League on PC. Here’s the rundown of today’s update:

• EAC works in the background to help keep matches fair and competitive – Steam Deck and Linux are supported

• Third-party mods won’t run with EAC enabled, but players can still use them while training or playing offline and LAN matches

• We’ll continue adding QOL features natively to the game (shout out to the community of modders) – we previously added MMR display and Custom Training Randomization, and this update introduces Free Play Team Colors and a new StatsAPI for broadcasters

@Logical__Psycho @nikgeneburn You’re arguing points I never made. Realism shouldn’t come at the cost of awful controls. It still has to be fun. Strategy comes from decisions, not fighting sluggish movement. You can limit superhuman movement without making the game feel like mud. It’s still a game.

To be completely honest and it’s not gonna even gonna be worth sharing but Tarkov would be more enjoyable if we weren’t cucked by the terrible inertia and weight system. It’s a game at the end of the day I’m not serving in the military let me enjoy a game… @nikgeneburn

@Logical__Psycho @nikgeneburn Realism isn’t the issue. Bad-feeling controls are. Strategy should come from positioning and decisions, not fighting inertia every time you move. You can have realism and movement that feels responsive, those aren’t mutually exclusive.
