Inaugural Turkey Cup ran this past weekend, organized by former D’Youville player Aweso Noor’s Beyond Borders organization that engages Buffalo middle/high school soccer players. The Green Gobbler Guardians won the remarkably even indoor soccer tournament.

For a sense of how close the Friday (group play) - Sunday (playoffs) tournament was, all playoff games went to OT and penalty kicks. Guardians snuck out of group play on GD. Great team names, too. Not easy to pull together a 10-team, two-day tourney.
