If you work a 9-5 and participate in appraisal sessions please keep a brag sheet. It’s about data. Document all your wins.
In a fast-paced firm, if you don't track your value, you're leaving your career growth to the mercy of your manager's memory.
The mind is very fickle!
If a recruiter can comfortably insult a candidate on a public platform, one can only imagine the tone of communication he must have used behind closed doors.
How did you approach the applicant? Where's the recording of your conversation?
Probably on proper review of the conversation some of us here may bother with telling you outright why the applicant reacted the way he/she did.
True professionalism doesn't get this sort of response from an applicant and no one is useless and stupid, kindly advise your employer to redeploy you to some other role while you learn how to approach HR practice.
Here’s a tip: many multinationals and large companies use recruitment firms to manage their hiring.
When that’s the case, the company name or official email won’t always appear in the job advert. Don’t dismiss those listings. If you’re qualified, submit your application. You never know where it might lead.
There are still a number of people who
haven't heard of the Big4s.
Please don’t judge them. Ok scratch that…judge them tiny 🤣. Tiny o.
Did you know that initially, there were eight large accountancy firms in the world known as the 'Big 8s'???.😮😮8️⃣❓❓
They were:
1️⃣ Arthur Andersen
2️⃣ Coopers and Lybrand
3️⃣ Ernst & Whinney
4️⃣ Deloitte Haskins & Sells
5️⃣ Peat Marwick Mitchell
6️⃣ Price Waterhouse
7️⃣ Touche Ross
8️⃣ Arthur Young
Then did they become Big4s??🤔🤔
Let's see....⏩⏩
📌'Peat Marwick Mitchell' merged with a top 20 firm 'Klynveld Main Goerdeler' to form 'KPMG' (first of current Big 4s) 🥇🥇
In 1989,⏪⏪
📌'Ernst and Whinney' merged with 'Arthur Young' to form 'Ernst and Young' (EY)🥇🥇
📌'Deloitte, Haskins & Sells' merged with 'Touche Ross' to form 'Deloitte & Touche'.🥇🥇
Now, the number got reduced to 'Big 6'.⬜⬛⬜
Moving further,
In 1998,⏪⏪
📌'Price Waterhouse' merged with 'Coopers & Lybrand' to form 'Price Waterhouse Coopers' (PwC)🥇🥇
This gave us our 'Big5s'.
Now, then...what about the 5th one??what happened with it??.....where is it now???...why are there only 'Big4s' and not 'Big5s'???
Well....calm down.......Let me tell you‼
In 2002,⏪⏪
📌'Arthur Andersen' collapsed due a scandal named 'Enron Scandal' (though it was later acquitted of it)🔚
This gave us our ultimate 'Big 4s' namely:- (I know you know it ....but even though upon still🤧 I want to write😂😂)
1️⃣ KPMG
2️⃣ EY
3️⃣ Deloitte
4️⃣ PwC
It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved brother, Enimola Oluwaseun, known to many as Basketball Pro or Eniwealth
He died on May 30th, 2025, after a brief illness that began on May 27th
I’m sharing this to officially confirm the news, as so many of his friends, colleagues, and loved ones have been reaching out, worried and heartbroken.
Thank you all for the love, the calls and the prayers. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
The Family💔🙏🏾
Hate watching is the best thing to happen to football.
It's a better feeling than watching your own team lift the treble. I'm content as long as Arsenal gets knocked out this evening.😂
CFA Access scholarship for February 2026 exams - Levels I and III

I wrote about my CFA journey below. Whilst the exam may be expensive for some, the access scholarship is one way to get a discounted exam fee.
Two things are important for the application:
1. Show them you really need the financial assistance. Just telling them you are broke, does not cut it, demonstrate with numbers!
2. Show your passion for finance. Saying you’re passionate about finance without demonstrating it doesn’t cut it, you have to show workings of your steps, actions activities relating to this. If you’re in school, finance clubs/competition/activities or internship relating to finance will go a long way.
All the best!
Lmao one of those arguments I used to have with my guys, heat of the moment, I said I won’t pick him up, we car pool to work(I didn’t mean it). I was already thinking of how to apologize on my way to his house the next day, I saw him waiting where I’d normally pick him up/
4. Have a ‘Work Brag Folder’
When anyone praises your work, pleasee take a screenshot of it.
Save those “good job”, compliments, metrics, etc, so that when it’s time to negotiate a raise or for a performance review, you can come with facts and not feelings.

Every man should have something he does for himself. Something selfish that he does just to satisfy his own hedonism.
Because all your sacrifices will amount to nothing the day you stop being able to make those sacrifices.
While you can, pick something that you just for you.
How to appear 3X smarter in Job Interviews.
1. Know the company like the back of your hands. Understand their mission, values, product and research recent news or updates about the company/industry to show you’re invested.
2. Structure your responses using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) or PAR (Problem, Action, Result) framework.
3. Apply the SEAT method (Skills, Experience & Education, Accomplishment, Type of Person) to “tell them about yourself”.
4. Use keywords from the Job description to reflect the company’s language. Lookout for frequently used terminologies in the JD and leverage on those.
5. Maintain a good body language, confident posture, eye contacts, and nod a few times to show actively listening.
6. Be creative about the answers you don’t know e.g I haven’t had a direct experience with that but I’m familiar with (related skill) and I am eager to learn (specific area) and confident I’ll grasp quickly if given the opportunity.
7. Know your numbers. Demonstrate that you are data-driven by highlighting your key accomplishments with quantifiable metrics.
8. Leverage your transferable skills. Even if you don’t meet 100% requirements emphasize what you bring to the table e.g if it’s an Administrative role but you only have teaching experience, highlight your organizational, leadership, time management, documentation, communication etc. abilities.
9. Ask thoughtful, not obvious questions. Instead of what is your company culture-which they could lie about, ask what success in the role looks like in the next 6 months.
10. Close like a pro. Instead of a simple thank you, say something like ‘this conversation has been very insightful and I’m even more excited about this opportunity, thank you for having me.
