Can you imagine working for 1 month for just 5000 ₹ that is (166 rs per day) only that too as an Intern Doctor ?
This is what Medical students of Heritage institute of medical sciences in Varanasi are alleging of getting paid lesser than the amount which is set by the UP govt order !
Intern Doctors of HIMS, Varanasi are on strike regarding this less stipend.
The State Government Regulation is 12000/- per month) but they are not getting paid as per norm and therefore protesting for same
Requesting @CMOfficeUP to take cognisance of this matter .
Intern Doctors of Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi ( @himsmedicine ) on strike from today regarding less stipend. Their stipend is 5000/- per month which is very less than daily wage worker!
Their only demand is to increase stipend at par with State Government Regulation. (12000/- per month)
Requesting @NMC_IND@myogiadityanath@myogioffice @Varanasi_DM to look into this.

NMC has issued social media guidelines for 1st time for Indian doctors which lay down 11 important points to govern the conduct of doctors on social media under the Registered Medical Practitioner RMP (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023.
Every doctor must know about them:
Today I introduced The Healthcare Personnel and Healthcare Institutions (Prohibition of Violence and Damage to Property) Bill, 2023 in the LokSabha.
On May 10, 2023, Dr Vandana Das, a young doctor driven by a commitment to serve humanity, tragically lost her life at the hands of a patient she was caring for in the emergency room. While recognising that nothing would bring back their only child, I had pledged to her parents that her death would not be in vain. She is not alone: It is currently estimated that 75% of doctors face physical &verbal abuse during their service. No doctor should have to fear for their safety while fulfilling their duty.
As promised, I have thus moved a private member’s bill in Parliament to protect medical personnel. It makes acts of violence against healthcare personnel, including paramedical students &workers, administrative staff & ASHA workers, a cognisable and non-bailable offence. It requires speedy investigation and sentencing within a specified time frame & the establishment of designated special courts in every district.
If passed, my Bill should be known as the Vandana Das Act, in honour of the brave young medical martyr. @mansukhmandviya

@SwapnilVasani It is a well-intended policy to address the maldistribution of doctors. But, in a country where we have the right to education, one can definitely argue over the ethics of mandating students to serve in undesirable conditions

VOILENCE ALERT!!!
On Duty Doctor along with hospital staff and guards were assaulted both physically and verbally by the patient's attendant at ESIC hospital, Okhla phase 1 yesterday night.
Doctor made a PCR call and police officials came but no action was taken against the accused and they refused to even register the complaint. This behaviour of Delhi police is unexpected. Both doctors and police should work in synergism to make this a better place.
I want to express my deep gratitude towards the hospital staff specially Guards who stand as Shields to protect the duty doctors. Salute to them.

Inaugurated and addressed the 15th Conference of the Central Council of Health & Family Welfare at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The two-day "Swasthaya Chintan Shivir" will serve as a platform to discuss innovative healthcare delivery systems that can be implemented in the country.
@Indian__doctor@PMOIndia@narendramodi Neither the Governments nor the NMC has primary intention or guts in curtailing the quacks who are ruling the rural India causing havoc and playing with the health of public. They form a considerable vote bank for the politicians.
Congratulations 2019 batch!
Unless @NMC_IND ensures uniform standard of medical education all across the country, NExT is still a disastrous concept overall.
Poor imitation of USMLE!
I hope they will come up with better amendments

Sharing with you something that i found a little while ago.
This is an important message to share, because as a society, we tend to minimize the validity of mental health issues!
