#BurhanWani was an educated militant whose parents were teachers, yet he chose the path of terrorism. Terrorism has no morality, no humanity and no true faith. Can a person who embraced violence ever be considered a hero?
He used social media to influence and recruit young people in #JammuandKashmir toward militancy. He was accused of involvement in attacks on police personnel and Indian security forces, in which many lost their lives in the line of duty. Such a person can never be our hero. He is a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist and he was ultimately killed in an operation by the #IndianArmy and security forces.
The real heroes are the brave men and women of the Indian Army and other security forces who risked and sacrificed their lives to protect the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and safeguard innocent civilians from the threat of terrorism.

10 years back today Burhan Wani was killed by @adgpi. He was a self claimed freedom fighter. But the reality was something different. He had a bounty of 10 lakh rupees on his head. Radicalised the youth using social media platforms. Not a single bullet fired by him ever. Only involved in womanising. What followed his killing was rioting by the radicalised youth of kashmir leading to loss of life of innocent civilians. Hats off to our Indian Army for facing everything they did and normalising the situation in Kashmir.

The strength of any movement is measured by how it treats ordinary people. Violence against civilians destroys trust & legitimacy.
#PeaceInNorthEast#NoToTerrorism
Every act of violence leaves behind more than headlines, it leaves grieving families, frightened children, disrupted education, shattered livelihoods and communities struggling to rebuild trust. Ordinary people pay the highest price while progress is pushed further away.
A secure and prosperous #NorthEast can only be built through peace, dialogue, the rule of law and the protection of innocent civilians.
Reject fear, intimidation and stand together for a future where every family can live with dignity, opportunity and hope.
#Peace is not weakness, it is the strongest foundation for lasting development and a better tomorrow.

#NoToTerrorism
This is decades of extortion & broken ceasefires despite talks, ordinary civilians and our security forces bear the brunt. Endless cycle of fear.

@Divyanshigv#BurhanWani was a terrorist who killed innocent police officers & Indian security personnel & misled many youth in J&Kr toward violence.
LeT commander Zakir Ganai has been neutralised in a joint anti-terror operation in #Shopian. A significant success for the security forces as operations continue to counter terrorism and protect lives in the region.

PM Modi Ji's visit to Indonesia brought good news.
Both countries agreed to work together on elections.
India will help Indonesia make its own special Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Indonesia is the world’s 3rd biggest democracy and wants to try modern voting instead of paper ballots.
This shows trust in Indian election technology. A nice step for both nations.

Today, we remember Captain Vikram Batra, a true Indian hero.
On 7 July 1999, he gave his life for the country during the Kargil War at Point 4875.
His famous words "Yeh Dil Maange More" still inspire us all.
He said: "I will either come back with the Tricolour or wrapped in it."
Saluting his bravery 🫡
