One of the most common tactics of abusive men is the assault on women's mothering, including:
🔹 Undermining authority – Overruling or discrediting the mother.
🔹 Disrupting sleep – Keeping mother and child exhausted.
🔹 Interfering with parenting – Controlling child-rearing decisions.
🔹 Using children as weapons – Turning them against their mother.
🔹 Involving children in abuse – Forcing them to participate.
🔹 Directly abusing children – Inflicting harm to control the mother.
🔹 Preventing comfort – Blocking a mother from soothing her child.
🔹 Sowing division – Creating conflict between mother and child.
🔹 Role reversal – Forcing children to act as the 'boss' of their mother.
🔹 Weaponizing courts – Using custody battles for control.
These tactics harm mothers & deeply impact children’s psychological well-being. 💔
Abusive partners are, by extension, abusive parents!

Men who abuse women physically, emotionally or mentally are often some of the nicest, friendliest men you will ever met. A lot of them are funny, polite, helpful, respected and extremely good at making everyone else feel comfortable. That is why people struggle to believe the woman when she finally speaks. They say, "but he has always been so nice to me". And that's exactly the point.
Before they hit you, they might hit the wall next to you.
Before they throw you to the ground, they may throw a chair to the ground.
Before they punch you, they may tell you that they feel like punching you.
Before they kick you, they might kick an adored pet.
Before they strangle you, they might ‘jokingly’ mimic the action.
These are warning signs of escalation. ⚠️
A dog will bark before it bites!
Believe what they are showing you.
Trust your gut!

I can’t stay quiet about this issue any longer…
The Narcissist’s Playbook is a movie about to come out.
It’s meant to be educating about the danger of dark personalities.
Unfortunately, it is misleading on several fronts. 😔
I just heard this horrific quote from it…
“It’s not just the narcissist that has the problem, it’s us who keep worshipping them”.
VICTIM BLAMING!!
The fact is that researchers, academics and some of the top educators in the area of narcissism/dark personalities who are themselves human predators have profoundly misled us on how to “see” human predators.
Make no mistake, DARK PERSONALITIES ARE 100% AT FAULT IN HARMING VICTIMS.
In the case of a narcissist/psychopath:
1. Sharing with them something you are vulnerable about is like handing them a weapon.
2. Discussing something you are passionate about is a source for them of potential sadistic pleasure in terms of sabotaging your happiness around this passion.
3. Telling them about something you’ve done wrong is a source of leverage.
4. Discussing something in them that concerns you is a greenlight for them to start undermining you to others without your knowledge.
Narcissists believe they can author your identity—who you are, what you feel, what you said, what your intentions are, what your worth is.
They don’t just want control over your emotions; they want control over your character and public image.
That’s why they:
-Tell you who you “really are”
-Rewrite your character
-Redefine your emotions for you
-Assign you roles (villain, burden, unstable, selfish, etc.)
-Act like their interpretation is more real than your lived experience
It’s psychological colonization. If they can define you, they own you.
And when you refuse that—when you think for yourself and ignore their twisted fantasy—it destabilizes them. That’s why they escalate, smear, gaslight, or rage. You’re removing their perceived authority over reality.
A malignant narcissist will destroy an innocent person‘s life without the least bit of concern for the pain they’re causing for nothing more than to protect their ego.
And oftentimes they ENJOY seeing the pain.
Understand this: Destroying someone’s life is taking someone’s life.
They are getting as close to murdering a person as they can get because deep down they really do want to murder that person.

Malignant narcissists will deliberately make you miserable behind closed doors — so that by the time you’re out in public, you look like the unstable one. They walk in composed or even cheerful. You walk in carrying everything they just did to you. And to everyone watching, the picture is clear: you’re obviously the problem.
It’s control on two fronts — over your inner state, and over how the world sees you.
The malignant #narcissist will abuse you relentlessly. If you say nothing, the abuse will continue, if you ask gently for it to stop, the abuse will continue.
If you try to reason with the narcissist, the abuse will continue.
When you finally fight back because all other options have failed, the narcissist will paint you up as the bad guy and play the victim role.
This is the insanity of Narcissistic Abuse
Your abuser is going to lie about you, alot. They are going to pretend that none of it ever happened. They are going to reposition themselves as a victim of you. They are going to claim that you are crazy, vengeful and psychotic. Then they are going to use 'mental health' to also reframe themselves as vulnerable and in need of support and love because of what you have supposedly done to them.

I'm reading elder memory care sites on FB and learning how to help my Mom. So many Folks burnedout "A year! 3 years! Of caring for my Mom/Dad!" We do it for decades. How?
Dark personalities (narcissists, psychopaths) don’t have empathy but they may act out empathy to achieve a goal.
They may be involved in religion. They may become ambassadors, board members, volunteers, at charities. Smart predators create an exceptionally convincing façade.
"My mom once told me that she walked into a room where a couple of friends were discussing her, they didn’t know she was there. She shook her head, smiled and walked away.
My mom also told me that she had a friend who spoke badly about her. She never knew that Mom found out, because Mom never mentioned it. She smiled and walked away from this friendship.
She told me she had family who chose to shift her out of their lives, because she stood up for herself and stopped crossing oceans for them, when they wouldn't even cross a bridge for her. She smiled, shook her head and walked away.
So I asked her how she could just walk away from people who betrayed her while pretending to be her friends or family?
She answered that every time she came to a crossroad like that, she had to decide who would be going forward on her journey with her. This showed her who she could take with her and who she could not.
She explained to me that you should never waste your energy being angry with a person who betrays you, even in the name of friendship or family. Just gracefully bow out and enjoy your journey with all of the new people God puts in their place."
