My thought ; This could have been stealing if IMGs were really taking AMGs spots but on the contrary we IMG help make up for the deficiency that the US healthcare has in terms of No# of Doctors US make for any FY vs R-Positions available. 1/2
Tip 98: Mentorship in Medicine
Many people seek mentorship but do not clearly understand what to expect or how to behave in a mentor-mentee relationship.
The first thing to remember is that this is a two-way street and must be a symbiotic relationship in order to be sustainable. If the mentor is providing time and guidance, the mentee must also bring value to the relationship.
The mentor gains purpose, legacy, personal growth, and fulfillment from helping someone succeed.
The mentee brings value through effort, respect, curiosity, accountability, integrity, and unique skills.
Over time, a true mentorship can evolve into mutual respect, professional partnership, and even friendship, creating lasting human connection, not just career growth. If you cannot see this happening, the relationship may be weak and not sustainable to begin with, and not worth investing time in.
In one line:
Real mentorship is shared growth that builds both skill and bond.

Tip 93: ERAS CV/PS Review
I’ve noticed many people sending out requests for ERAS CV and Personal Statement reviews randomly. This is not advised.First, focus on building an impression or relationship before making any requests. Your very first message to someone should never be an ask.
Direct these requests only to your mentors or to people with whom you already have an established connection.

This is a real case and needs urgent help.
Dear Twitter friends,
I’m sharing this with a kind request. This is a true and serious situation, and I hope someone out there can help.
Ayesha Sohail is a young doctor currently working as resident physician in Internal Medicine in Pakistan. As many of you know, it is very hard to become a doctor in Pakistan, especially for women.
Sadly, Ayesha has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. As a resident doctor, she doesn’t earn enough money to pay for all the tests, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy she needs.
No one asked me to post this. I just wanted to help her and thought maybe someone kind will see this and do something. If you help, it will be a blessing for both you and me.
Please try to confirm her case yourself, and if you feel it’s right, please help in any way you can.
Thank you so much.

July month observers group turns out to be the unique one for me. I would call them students turn into friends. @waqar4816@IttehadMulk excellent job. Great work ethic and professionalism. Patients loved them and wrote letter of appreciation to admin for them. A lesson that got refreshed for me is that dont judge a book by its cover. Give people opportunity and see how they grow in a favourable environment. The pickle ball court missed you guys, Good luck for the match
