we have this weird trend of not developing GK’s with potential in our academy. we focus so heavily on outfield players that GK’s who could play a part end up getting sold.
Henderson, Johnstone, Kovar etc. could’ve saved so much money over the years if we just gave them a chance
Manchester United will win the league again the day Shaw, Dalot, and Maguire stop being regular starters.
Not because they're terrible players.
But because if they're still among the first names on the teamsheet after all these years, it tells you the squad hasn't evolved enough.
League-winning teams constantly upgrade.
They don't stand still.
At some point, sentiment has to give way to ambition
I keep seeing people say United should only sign players who "only want Manchester United"
And then they use Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko as examples.
Cunha? Fair enough. He genuinely loves United.
But let's be honest about the others.
If Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Madrid, Bayern or Barcelona had matched the fee and made them a serious offer, do you really think they're choosing United?
Football doesn't work like that.
Most players choose the best project, the best chance of winning and the biggest opportunity available to them.
That's normal.
The bigger issue is this:
Elite clubs spend money to buy elite players and win major trophies.
Average clubs spend money carefully and celebrate qualifying for the Champions League.
At some point, United have to decide which one they want to be.
The only reason United agreed the Ederson deal so quickly is because he's one of the cheaper options.
Not because they genuinely believe he's the best midfielder available.
If he cost £80m, we'd still be hearing briefs about valuations and negotiations.
That's the problem.
This board always seems more interested in finding the affordable option than the best option.
Lower risk for the budget.
Not necessarily lower risk for the football.
We offered Nottingham Forest €120M for Elliot Anderson and they turned it down. Now they want €130M. Who do they think they are?
Manchester City should walk away from that deal and go for Sandro Tonali instead, a proper baller. Anderson is not worth that kind of money.
Content creator and filmmaker Abel Mutua recently asked his wife, Judy Nyawira, a thought-provoking question: would she ever get married again if they were to part ways?
Judy admitted that she would eventually remarry, but only after taking a long time to heal. She explained that she would need time to process the end of their relationship and ensure that any future partner would not be seen as a replacement for Abel.
Abel, on the other hand, said he doesn't see himself getting married again. According to him, moving on from such a significant relationship would be extremely difficult, and Judy agreed, saying she believes Abel would likely remain single if they ever separated.
Wrapping up the discussion, Abel compared marriage to betting, saying that while people enter it with hope, there is always the possibility of losing everything.
