T.J., short for Tanner James,  was an 18-year-old from the flat, fertile farmland near Galesburg, lllinois. He was born and raised on a family-owned grain and soybean farm that has been in the Jenkins family for over a century. His upbringing was a masterclass in hard work, responsibility, and the unspoken bond of family. His father, was  a man of few words but immense integrity, taught him how to read the land and the weather. His mother, the heart of the home, ran the household and a small farm stand, instilling in him the values of kindness and community.
He grew up as the middle child between two sisters.

One of TJ’s interests was his prize possession a 1972 Chevy pickup that he was constantly doing work on. TJ needed a part and had been searching around for it for a while. He then spotted one online and made arranger to potentially buy it.

The drive for the part was five hours and TJ was happy when he arrived and the seller said he had the part. 
Unbeknownst to TJ the seller was the serial killer known as the Trash Bag Killer and before he knew it TJ was incapacitated and strangled. The killer enjoyed his time with TJ’s body before dismembering it and disposing of it in trash bags.
