So you learn to carry it alone.

You smile when you’re expected to smile. Laugh when everyone else is laughing. Change your opinion just to avoid an argument.
Say “I’m fine” because explaining what’s really going on feels more exhausting than pretending everything is okay.

And eventually, you convince yourself that being loud about your pain is weakness.

When sometimes, you’re not okay.

You’re just very good at functioning while carrying things nobody knows you’re carrying.
