@jflWrites My workday is reading complex documents, so I listen for all my personal reading. What can I say for certain is even the best book can be ruined by a poor narrator, so sometimes I can't continue with the audio and switch to the text version. That is the downside of audio.
@MillerDakotaJ I wish there was a real answer to this but it is not a new phenomenon. Everything from Bambi to Ben Hur played fast and loose with the source material. So there are some films I just won’t watch because I am too emotionally attached to the source material.
