@Anything_goz@Lawton_Times They paid more in corporation tax yeah. I think the issue here is about disguised remuneration to players & staff etc (like the Mancini dual contract). It’s failure to operate PAYE. So income tax & national insurance.
@lashman010@Lawton_Times They’ve likely collected on them for all of this already. Compliance checks remain private unless a deliberate penalty is charged. The bar for that is extremely high. They’ll have just collected what was owed + interest and suspended the penalty.
The Forgotten Men of Serie A
We’ve all got our favourite Series A players from the 90s and 2000’s. Whether it be a bonafide legend like Baggio, Totti, Del Piero and Batistuta or a slightly niche cult hero like Di Natale, Cassano, Adriano or Mihajlovic. But what about those players that never get a mention anymore (at least not here in the UK). The ones you clearly remember from the days of Gazzetta Football Italia on C4, but you can’t quite remember why. Were they really any good?
It’s hard to say for sure. Maybe they were just brilliant on Football Manager? Inconsistent yes - most likely why they haven’t stood the test of time - but not completely forgotten. So let’s show some love to the forgotten men of Serie A.
THREAD 🧵
@LetsTalk_FPL I hate the expression “bottling it” but they’ve picked up 3pts from a possible 12pts in the last four games, largely due to just panicking in every one of those games. The fans have been nervous wrecks too. The whole club lost their nerve.
@bigalbcfc @M3GUnited @City_Xtra@umirf1 They’re financed by disguised investment through bogus sponsorship deals though. Their financial records are a work of fiction.
