I’m obviously not defending what Louis did. It was abusive and deserved to be condemned. My point is that we should be careful with language. If we use the word “predator” for every kind of sexual misconduct or abuse, the word starts to lose the distinction it was meant to have. There are people who spend years coercing, grooming, assaulting, and terrorizing victims. I know first hand. Flattening those differences doesn’t help victims, it makes it easier for people to dismiss genuinely predatory abuse as just more of the same.
@credenzaclear2 Whether you like Louis is one thing… im obviously not down with what he did. But claiming he isn’t still one of the sharpest comedic minds just doesn’t match reality.
