Ivy's mum here❤️
To anybody who has dealt with pet loss/poor prognosis results - how do you cope with it?
Perhaps I'm jumping to conclusions a bit early, but with Ivy's potential HCM diagnosis, I am feeling the impact of pre-griefing.
How do you cope with losing your soulmate?
Hi all - HCM: I'm feeling really bummed out about this. 6 monthly heart ultrasound is on the 7th of August.
I wish i could fast forward, but I'm also scared for the results. 😭
Does anybody here have experience with HCM/work in the vet field who can give some insight? ❤️😔
Hi all, just an update on Ivy's heart. Sorry if this is incoherent/hard to read. I would love some input from any others who have experienced this or anybody working in the vet field with information. 😪
1) Hi all - not the best of news. A month ago Ivy went to the vet for a check-up, and when they checked her reports it turned out there was a measurement of some sort which was slightly elevated for Ivy's heart which I wasnt told about (they apparently found out days later) -
Hi all ❤️ amazing news, Ivy's heart is perfectly fine ❤️ Ultrasound went well and she is recovering. She also has no murmur when the vet checked whilst she was sedated. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I have never felt more relieved in my life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@Bboy_Resonance Thank you so much, i really appreciate that. I definitely need to learn to appreciate her right in this moment, rather than shut off whilst awaiting her results. ❤️

5) but yeah, the vet didn't seem too concerned but he was probably being polite. There are no abnormalities to her heart yet but just that elevated level. I apologise that I'm repeating myself. I hope everything turns out okay, even if she does have HCM. any vet nurses/vets here?
4) theyre rechecking at the 6 months. I am so torn up, I've done so much Googling, all the results aren't good. I just don't know what to even do or say anymore to be honest. I don't know what result was slightly elevated, i think maybe the way her heart pumps?
