@Slifer__Slacker Yeah I remember being a bit iffy on it initially, it took a while for me to really get into it and I still don’t really think it’s worthy of a descriptor like “beyond perfect” lol.
Lesbian relationships in Star Wars:
Kassandra and iila must brave a world that hates them as they struggle to profess their love to each other before tragedy strikes
Gay relationships in Star Wars:
Here’s Xort and Geezmo, they’re both fat and old and run a noodle bar
@matpolloy I feel like if Star Wars was made today they would’ve had to have added like five scenes like this where the characters just explain the state of galactic affairs and their personal motivations. Modern audiences are lost without such explicit world building.
@LinguistReborn@minas_wife For me as a gay kid I always looked up to Luke as “he’s just like me fr” because unlike every other action hero his story wasn’t derailed by some token female love interest. I think ace people probably also get that out of him. So the ambiguity is neat in a way.
@Diablocraf66249 The Empire was doomed from the start. Doesn’t matter how many guns or spaceships or stupid planet death lasers they have, their military was never the issue.
@MarcoMilk Considering the CIS was somewhat pro-slavery and most separatist sympathizers became rebel sympathizers, there had to be at least one guy in the Galaxy who supported the Rebellion because he believed they’d permit more slavery than the empire.
@cosmic_marvel People act like Mandalorion and Grogu is unique in lacking the Star Wars magic and feeling like an extended TV special, but this was the first live action Star Wars film to do so. It’s not terrible but it’s so distinctly lacking in everything.
@NbRubbish It’s reasonable enough to assume he’d pick that up as a more primary skill after a few years just working with the main rebel alliance instead of his team. But yeah in the show he’s rarely shown to fly.
