UPDATE ON ENFORCEMENT OPERATION: REMOVAL OF ILLEGAL SQUATTERS ON THE MEDIAN ALONG ORILE–OKOKOMAIKO, BADAGRY EXPRESSWAY

Acting on the Governor’s directive issued on Saturday, 27 June 2027, a joint enforcement operation is being carried out to remove illegal squatters, shanties, makeshift structures, and unauthorised trading activities on the road median along the Orile–Okokomaiko axis of the Badagry Expressway.

The operation commenced as scheduled and focused on clearing all illegal structures and dislodging unauthorised occupants from the affected corridor. Enforcement personnel maintained order throughout the exercise while ensuring that the median was restored for its intended public use and that the right-of-way was protected.

The exercise was jointly undertaken by officials of the the Lagos State Environmental Task Force, Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI), the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), and Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).
