🗻 The Kitakami Mountains run through Ichinoseki, with Mount Murone rising above the landscape. From the summit, you can see the proposed ILC candidate site below.
Mt. Murone is home to around 200,000 wild azaleas, creating an amazing view.

Hello! Ofunato city is holding the 'Goishi Coast Tourism Festival’ on the 3rd and 4th of May! There is gonna be a lot of fun festivities including a free boat ride through the Anatoshi-iso! （if it does'nt rain horribly!) So come on over to the main venue, "Goishi Rest house"!

Hello everyone!
Its a rainy day here in Ofunato and a few cherry blossoms have started blooming! Just a few hours ago was Ofunato city's "Cherry blossom bloom declaration" where the mayor came to view the first few blossoms! Can't wait to see the full bloom!

In some parts of Japan, the cherry blossoms (sakura) are blooming now, but here, we still have a bit more than a week to go. So on this #ThrowbackThursday, I’m thinking of the lovely sakura of Oshu's Mizusawa Park from a few years ago. Can’t wait to meet them again🌸
