In his remarks he appreciated the contribution of Kiwi Indians to New Zealand; spoke of the upcoming visit of Hon PM of India Shri @narendramodi, reflecting the deepening of India- NZ bilateral relationship and the recently signed FTA. #BREAKING @chrisluxonmp set to be the country's next Prime Minister as the latest vote count projects that National would win 51 seats, Labour 33, the Greens 13, Act 12, NZ First 8 and Te Pāti Māori with four seats.
This means National and Act would have enough seats to govern without needing support from NZ First.
Labour leader @chrishipkins has called Chris Luxon and conceded defeat: “As it stands, Labour is not in a position to form a government,” Hipkins said.

With 30% of the vote now counted, the votes are indicating National would get 53 seats, and ACT 12 - a combined 65 seats comfortably over the 61 required to govern.
There is still a lot of vote to be counted but the buffer for National+ACT is significant enough that the expectation they would need NZ First is dimming a little.
