A 2-year-old boy was strapped inside his stroller when it rolled down a hill and plunged into a deep pond. As the stroller sank underwater, his grandmother was desperately struggling to save another child, unable to reach the little boy trapped below.
It happened in Carmel, Indiana, where 15-year-old Maddox Larger and his 14-year-old brother Grant were fishing nearby when they noticed a family struggling in the water.
The brothers immediately rushed to help, managing to get the grandmother and a 4-year-old child to safety. But their relief was short-lived when they discovered that the youngest child was still missing, trapped underwater inside his stroller.
Maddox went straight back into the pond, searching water approximately eight feet deep until he located the submerged stroller. He managed to pull it to the surface and unbuckle the little boy, but when he brought him out of the water, he realized something was terribly wrong. The toddler wasn’t breathing.
Remembering first aid he’d learned at school, Maddox began delivering back blows, desperately trying to get the little boy breathing again. After those terrifying moments, the toddler finally began to breathe.
What started as an ordinary day of fishing ended with two teenage brothers saving three lives. At just 14 and 15 years old, Maddox and Grant showed incredible courage when it mattered most. They deserve some serious recognition.
@EYakoby Practically nothing good has come from the so-called Palestinians. The 1972 Munich Olympics. Fiumicino Airport, Italy, 1981. In Iraq against the Kurds, in Jordan, in Palestine, in Israel. That is why no one wants them.
