The anger arrived before the facts did.
What stayed with me wasn’t just how quickly people reacted.
It was realizing how easily I could have done the same.
We’re getting very good at forming an opinion before understanding what actually happened.
One command to prevent this using my skill set:
echo "Tautological tests considered harmful." >> CODING_STANDARDS.md
From then on, /code-review will pick this up
Waiting for Claude/Codex is very much like the old data engineering days when you ran a query in a large corp like Google and had to wait 10-20 min for it.
Sometimes that’s dangerous coz we lose our attention span so easily while waiting and we slop into seeking fast dopamine hits.
We go watch YouTube or swipe on Reels/TikTok and when we come back the brain already feels less alert and sharp coz of all the distractions.
Introducing Claude Fitness: a rewards layer for your body. The more calories you burn, the more tokens you earn.
Claude Fitness links to your existing wearables and turns verified movement - heart rate, motion data, and consistency - into Claude Tokens.
It quietly tracks in the background and rewards real effort, not just steps, with higher payouts for sustained training, meaningful streaks, and healthy habits.
Because strong incentives can be abused, Claude Fitness is built with strict anti-cheat safeguards. Suspicious activity patterns are flagged and earn little or nothing, and the system constantly refines what “true effort” looks like for each person. The aim is to reward genuine discipline, not creative ways of gaming the system.
For a small group of partners—researchers, trainers, and health organizations—we’re also exploring a more experimental tier that exposes richer data and finer-grained controls. Access will expand carefully over time, focused on people using it to build better tools for health, not exploitation.
Claude Fitness launches as a consumer app first, with partner access rolling out gradually.
Spent the last week building something I couldn't stop thinking about 😁. Mumbai has thousands of street cats (I love cats). They live in our lanes, outside our buildings, in most of the cafes.
So I built meowmbai - A community map where you spot, explore, & pin Mumbai's street cats.
Every cat gets a profile. Every neighborhood gets a count. People can upload cat sightings, discover cats around the city, explore adoption opportunities, & find helpful resources for cat care.
It's live. Go find your local cat. Have fun at

I strongly believe there are entire companies right now under heavy AI psychosis and its impossible to have rational conversations about it with them. I can't name any specific people because they include personal friends I deeply respect, but I worry about how this plays out.
I lived through the great MTBF vs MTTR (mean-time-between-failure vs. mean-time-to-recovery) reckoning of infrastructure during the transition to cloud and cloud automation. All those arguments are rearing their ugly heads again but now its... the whole software development industry (maybe the whole world, really).
It's frightening, because the psychosis folks operate under an almost absolute "MTTR is all you need" mentality: "its fine to ship bugs because the agents will fix them so quickly and at a scale humans can't do!" We learned in infrastructure that MTTR is great but you can't yeet resilient systems entirely.
The main issue is I don't even know how to bring this up to people I know personally, because bringing this topic up leads to immediately dismissals like "no no, it has full test coverage" or "bug reports are going down" or something, which just don't paint the whole picture.
We already learned this lesson once in infrastructure: you can automate yourself into a very resilient catastrophe machine. Systems can appear healthy by local metrics while globally becoming incomprehensible. Bug reports can go down while latent risk explodes. Test coverage can rise while semantic understanding falls. Changes happens so fast that nobody notices the underlying architecture decaying.
I worry.
Every new model drop, I want to test it.
Every new workflow that goes viral, I want to rebuild my setup.
Every weekend ends with a half-finished experiment.
I don't think I'm the only one.

The PSL is coming up and that is very exciting for many millions of cricket fans.
We have always wondered what PSL stands for and it turns out it means Petrol Shortage League.
I've been running a thought experiment every time I react to something.
Actor, Situation, Result.
30 seconds of variable mapping beats hours of ego-driven resentment.
It's real-time meditation. Intellectually driven. Forces you to be alert.

Unpopular opinion: your desk needs at least 10 plants to be productive.
Currently building mine. Here's the chaos before the calm 👇

I think Indian citizens should crowd-fund and start paying foreign celebs and tech CEOs to come to India and just tweet about our urban infrastructure. Then watch how our municipal bodies start working. I just like the results. If foreigners shaming the municipality works then let's do it.
