3 reasons If your ministry doesn’t tithe, finances will always be an uphill climb.
1. You’re Asking People to Practice a Principle Your Ministry Refuses to Practice
Luke 6:38 — “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over…”
If you preach tithing and giving to your people while your ministry itself doesn’t tithe, your pitch will always have a bit of hypocrisy to it. You’re asking others to trust God financially in a way you’re unwilling to trust Him yourself.
2. The Tithe Acknowledges That God—not Donors—is Your Source
Deuteronomy 8:18 — “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…”
Tithing keeps a ministry conscious that its ultimate source is not wealthy donors, attendance, fundraising, or economic conditions; but God.
3. The Tithe Carries a Specific Promise Concerning the Devourer
Malachi 3:10–11 — “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herewith… if I will not open you the windows of heaven… And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes…”
A ministry can have substantial income and still constantly lose ground through unnecessary expenses, breakdowns, waste, and financial pressure. God specifically connected the tithe with His rebuking of the devourer.
Camila cried this morning that she didn’t want me to leave, so I picked her up from school. Had dinner together. And she’s joining me for church tonight in Kentucky. We’ll minister and be home by midnight—then I’ll take her to school in the morning. A jet removes the choice between spending time with family and working for The Lord. A true blessing! Over 1,000 extra days with my wife and daughter ❤️
When an evangelist decides to spontaneously change his last name and the name of his ministry, it’s definitely because God told him to and definitely not because he’s getting tracked down for not paying his bills.
Many modern day churches are Pharisaic in nature and don’t even know it.
Why is it that in most Christian circles, the people they have preach to their church is people in their immediate circle?
There’s a reason why God gave the Five-fold office gifts to the body of Christ
I wanna buy churches like this that are shutting down across England.
So if you know a church that's for sale and potentially closing down, let me know. I wanna buy a church.
I don't care if it's got planning permission to return to flats redeveloped. I don't care.
I wanna buy it. I don't care how profitable the conversion will be.
If it was built as a church, I believe it needs to stay as a church.
I want to save churches like this one from being shut down and sold off to developers all across the UK.
I love making profit in property, but when someone's being built as a church to honour Jesus Christ, that's a no no.
There's revival coming in England and we need to keep our churches open. Ready for what’s to come.
Is this a good idea you would support?
I'm buying a church.
I’ve made a cash offer of £225,000 to purchase this church, which was about to close and be sold off to developers.
I'm fed up with driving past all these churches in the UK that used to thrive, support the community, and feed the homeless.
Now, just look at these beautiful church buildings.
So many are boarded up, closed down, with developers queueing up to profit from converting them into flats.
I simply can't accept that a building built to glorify Jesus for generations can be turned into something solely for profit.
So I've placed an offer on a church in my hometown.
My plan is to buy it and offer it completely free of charge, with zero rent, to a church willing to worship Jesus here and serve others.
What do you think of this idea?
People have asked what my response is to the many Christian leaders who have had credible allegations of unethical and/or illegal actions. At Revival Today Global Pursuit, we have a zero tolerance policy for all immoral or unethical behavior. However, i also don’t live in Christian podcast land. I have no ability to correct leaders who have no interest in my input. My response is to continue to live a Holy life & preach The Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, and demonstrate His power to the dying.
Sad to see so many well known ministers getting exposed for boasting fake stories about the miraculous.
Really bad. Grieves me.
Slightly for them, but more for how it’ll train people to be cynical about the move of God.
I bet the enemy loves that trash.
A SUGGESTION FOR MINISTERS:
Let people share their testimonies in their own words about what God is doing through your ministry. If you’re the only one able to testify about what God is doing, who cares?
“Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth— a stranger, not your own lips.”
