One interesting aspect of Brand New Day was that it felt like two movies in one. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but I’m kind of shocked how much they fit into only 2 hours or so. Fantastic movie.

Spider-Man Brand New Day is an actual masterpiece. I will never not like a Spider-Man movie, but Brand New Day was an actual instant classic. Must watch for any superhero fan.

I think the thing that The Odyssey movie did best was the ending. Odysseus’ return home was well built up and well executed in the end. I think bringing that to life on screen was great.

Funnily enough, I never thought I’d make a “the manga is better than the anime” argument for The Odyssey, but to save time, a lot was left out from the original story. If you really loved the movie, try the book. It’s not easy reading, but the story is still great.

The Odyssey is a great movie. A great story. Would recommend. I watched it in 70mm IMAX. Don’t think that’s necessary, I think any format will do. A great story, but of course, The Odyssey always was.

Obsession is every bit as good as people say, and actually even better. I don't even like horror, but this movie is a masterpiece. Perfectly told and perfectly crafted. Bravo to Curry Barker, I look forward to what he makes next.

Do people have zero joy in their lives? Not everything needs to be Oscar award winning. The Mario Galaxy movie was great fun, I enjoyed it. The reviews were so negative going in, you can’t trust them. I’m actually disappointed in critics. Just go have fun.

The entire time I was watching Marty Supreme, I was reminded about life. This life shit we're doing is fucking crazy. Unbelievable. Living life is the hardest shit ever, so props to whoever is able to manage it. Keep going.

This is coming from someone who loves spicy food and instant ramen. But man, Buldak Spicy Ramen is complete garbage. It's all spice with no good taste. Would not recommend.

All in all, all three countries are capable of producing absolute bangers. I can't wait to watch more of the best of the best from all three.

I think it's just a consistency issue. The best Japanese movies are as good as any other. But they seem to have more misses? Or maybe I just only watch the good Korean and Chinese stuff, but since I watch so many Japanese anime movies, I get hit with the more mid stuff too.

Obviously not a Japanese unique problem, but Parasite and No Other Choice had insanely tight pacing. Nezha and Legend of Hei are long movies that fly by. Yet there are multiple Japanese anime movies I've started but couldn't finish.

The best Japanese movies I've watched are great obviously. Battle Royale is one of my all time favorite films. But I've started multiple Japanese movies that I couldn't finish because the pacing was so slow. I lost interest midway through. The best don't make me lose interest.

I should mention that the Chainsaw Man Reze movie was also insanely good. The writing and action were both top tier. But I actually think a lot of Japanese movies I've watched have a pacing problem. Some are too slow for my taste. Not all of them, but definitely some.

The Legend of Hei and Nezha movie series are both masterpieces. Chinese media is insanely hype and super high quality. I'm a fan and I look forward to watching more and seeing where this goes. I hope there's more to come.

I also recently watched The Shadow’s Edge. Best Jackie Chan movie since the early 2000s hands down. Best action movie I’ve seen in recent memory. Incredibly solid, tons of really memorable and rewatchable moments. I’m not even talking about only action either. Highly recommend.

Man, Kill Bill is such a crazy odyssey of a movie. Really enjoyed it, each chapter had something unique to offer. Ended up liking Bill as a character much more than I expected to. Cool movie. Good action and strong characters. Lots to love.

Just finished watching Superman. Damn, what a good fucking movie. It reminds heartless bastards like me that at the end of the day, it really is cooler to be Superman than Homelander.

I finally made another deep run, and this was my biggest tourney yet. Ended up 2nd in chips before we chopped 8-ways. Still, 16K is a great payday, better than 3rd place money without the extra work lol. When I finally make a Day 2 in an event, I final table it. Not bad :)
