Just caught up with the article, interesting topic, it was great to see a mix of views. Just had a 'fast' Irish funeral this week, with an unusual Irish cremation to round it off. Too unwell to travel I marvelled at being able to be part of it all via live streaming.

@sophiegrenham The speed in Ireland came about from consumption & the famine I reckon. No space to store bodies & a crude form of infection control. Experienced my first UK close family death & subsequent funeral & appreciated the time & space given rather than the Irish rush for a funeral.
