@RonnyLerner I dont think Ess have a choice anymore. Ridiculous messaging out of Welch, Sheedy, Long and others means there is no way the top candidates would even consider applying. Has to be Hird. If be turns it around, its the ultimate fairytale. If he fails, club is a decade further back
@rohan_connolly I agree completely & subsequently feel cricket has sold its soul to some extent. Can't remember the last time I walked past the nets and a junior player left a ball! Seen plenty of ramp shots and reverse sweeps, though! I believe Top5 batsmen should raise bats at 100 balls faced
@BradKlibansky We are laying foundations but clearly our midfield just not up to top-4 standard. Was hoping McKenzie & Husthwaite would step up but just not there. Will be fascinating to see who we target off season
@thepunt I can only put it down to the putrid campaign run by Liberal. Labor played the politics game really well. Dutton was a train wreck, whose campaign was aimed solely at those already voting for him
@BradKlibansky@HawksInsiders We were overhyped leading into the season. A star midfielder and key forward off being a real contender. Day and Sicily irreplaceable in this team. Hoping a prelim this year and grab a gun for next season
@BradKlibansky Was smashed by physically powerful cats midfield. Their pace, ferocity and ability to split a contest was impressive and we couldn't match them. Frequent fumbles & unforced turnovers destroyed any momentum. Good reality check.
@BradKlibansky@Passive_Dobbo@NatMartin30 Very unlikely. Every successive dislocation has the potential to do more damage on the way out. 3/52 off last time was to try allow some natural scarring of the stabilising tissue. That would have been destroyed again this time.
@BradKlibansky@HawksInsiders Ridiculous that we had no Hawk running THROUGH a ruck contest at all in the last quarter. Zac Butters broke almost every clearance open as he was on the move. To not send someone to oppose his momentum was terrible coaching and/or horrible execution.
@BradKlibansky Swans ran in waves. Seemed to always outnumber at the contest and had a standard 8-10m lateral handball out of contested situation knowing a teammate would be running on to it, which they did to break the lines. Ours were always >2m little gives to a teammate under pressure.
@BradKlibansky We were just bullied at the clearances. Our weakest department vs Melbourne's strongest. Had to take game on today and just tried to chip it around which was most disappointing. Would rather lose by 12-15 goals trying to break game open than surrender meekly and lose by 8-9
