Ezekiel 1 God gave Ezekiel a vision on 4 angels, each with four faces and four wings with a wheel within a wheel. In them God showed their great knowledge and abilities. Above them he saw God’s throne radiant with His light. It made Ezekiel fall on his face. #ThroughTheBible
Lamentations 5 Jeremiah prayed for the nation because they were worn out from oppression. They were in deep despair so they could only cry out to God and confess their sin. He acknowledged the Lord rules forever and only He could save them. #ThroughTheBible
Lamentations 4 God poured out His fierce anger on His own people to the point of starvation. There is no one more loving, but He is a warrior, perfectly just. He will complete the punishment He promised on His people and the rest of the world. #ThroughTheBible
Lamentations 3 Jeremiah was God’s chosen and anointed prophet, but he still experienced wrath, correction, & despair. He maintained his hope in God’s nature and character in that He is faithful & compassionate. He is good to those who wait for him and seek Him. #ThroughTheBible
Lamentations 2 God is loving and good but this chapter talks about His anger & wrath, like a consuming fire set against His own people, without restraint, for their sins. He will accomplish all His purposes. Israel is told to cry out to the Lord. #ThroughTheBible
Lamentations 1 Jerusalem was once great but lost it all and became a slave full of grief with no one to comfort her. They sinned greatly and became unclean. Finally, they asked God to respond to their cries for help. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 52 Zedekiah did evil and rebelled. When he fled, the Chaldean army captured him and sentenced him. They took many away into exile. King Jehoiachin was finally shown favor and spent his final days in freedom with good food. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 51 Jeremiah prophesies that God will take vengeance on Babylon by sending invaders to destroy them. He reminds God’s people that God has not forgotten them. God is sovereign. He used Babylon to punish Israel and Judah, then He fought against Babylon. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 50 God said His people were like sheep led astray and lost, but He promised them hope through an eternal covenant when they sought Him. God promised vengeance on Babylon for their mistreatment of His people, for pride, and for idolatry. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 49 God promised judgement on the surrounding nations because of pride, idolatry, and for taking Israel’s land. God foretold disaster showing His power, sovereignty, justice, and jealousy; His kindness showed in His promise for restoration. #ThroughTheBible

Jeremiah 47-48 God promised judgement for Philistia and Moab because of pride, idolatry, and mocking God’s people. Even so, He promised to restore Moab in the latter days. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 46 God foretold how He would use Babylon to take vengeance on Egypt and humble them. Then He told His people not to be afraid because He also promised to punish them. But their punishment would be for correction unto restoration, not destruction. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 45 Baruch was grieved and exhausted. He wanted peace and prosperity, but God told him to be thankful for his life because He was about to judge the whole nation with disaster. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 44 God vowed wrath against His people for their idolatry despite Him repeatedly sending prophetic warnings. They would experience war, disease, and pestilence, but still were defiant thinking they were better off with their “queen of heaven.” #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 43 The leaders didn’t like what Jeremiah had to say even though he spoke the words of God. They called him a liar and defiantly went to Egypt. God told them they would be judged for their disobedience. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 42 The Jews who remained in Judah asked Jeremiah to pray and ask God for direction. They sounded like they were committed to following God, but they let their fears drive them to Egypt where they were doomed. #ThroughTheBible

Jeremiah 41 Ishmael and his men tricked Gedaliah by accepting a meal invitation from him, then killing him. They also took hostages. Johanan heard about this evil, so he took men to fight. The hostages joined Johanan. Ishmael and his men escaped. Johanan fled. #ThroughTheBible
Jeremiah 40 Jeremiah was released from Babylonian captivity and offered peace and security. He chose to return to Judah and struggle with his people. #ThroughTheBible
