@RBReich I read someone said, not every job is meant to provide a livable wage. But true full-time employees at any job shouldn’t qualify for SNAP based on income.
Huge corporations like Amazon, Walmart, and Uber are among the top employers of SNAP and Medicaid recipients.
Meanwhile, their CEOs are raking in multi-million dollar pay packages.
How is this not a bigger scandal?
Social media died four years ago and for the last four years we’ve been in interest media.
You no longer get the content on your feeds from the people you follow like your cousin or your best friend from middle school. You get content based on what you’ve recently been into. Interest media is the term that’s used for the current state of what it was known as social media.
Where you get content that’s based on what you’re currently interested in.
This is the current state of the internet and very important because interest media allows platforms to keep users on the platform longer because you’re seeing things you’re actually into now, not people you used to follow.
Your ability to change what you’re seeing in your feed is very, very, very real and all you have to do is use the search function in these platforms and search new topics and engage with that content.
Or use the explore page and engage with it. Or control “not interested” in the content that you’re no longer interested in.
I do think people eventually will get tired of this and I predict that long-term platforms are going to have both an interest media feed and a social media feed, aka people that you want to follow.
I think a double-feed platform is inevitable.
Steve Jobs was 20 when he founded Apple.
Jeff Bezos was 30 when he started Amazon.
Mark Zuckerberg was only 19 when he debuted Facebook.
It’s too late. You need to give up.
"You need to keep raw irrational emotion under control. You need patience and discipline and an ability to take losses and adversity without going crazy." — Charlie Munger.
Everything in Elon Musk’s mind basically runs through one question:
How can I make human life better in every possible way?
And he goes so insanely deep into that question that he ends up taking on humanity's hardest problems, most people would never even dare to touch
He engineers life to be better
Energy, Transportation, AI, Robotics, Space, Communications, Manufacturing. The future of civilization itself
He looks at humanity’s hardest problems through physics, math and first principles, ignores the limits everyone else accepts, goes all the way down to the fundamentals, builds the solution, proves it works and then suddenly the rest of the world starts following the path he opened
He is literally engineering an abundant and prosperous future for humanity
But engineering is only one part of it
He values free speech because a civilization cannot remain free without it
He values truth
He values trust
He values human rights
He values merit, competence and a world where people rise because of what they can actually build, create and contribute
And when those principles are threatened, he fights for them publicly every single day, regardless of how much pressure and threats comes back at him
Then there is the most fundamental question of all:
Will civilization even continue?
You can build all the technology in the world, but none of it matters if humanity stops believing in its own future
That is why he keeps talking about birth rates, expanding human civilization and becoming multiplanetary
His mission with SpaceX has always gone far beyond just building rockets
Reach Mars
Build a self-sustaining civilization there
Make humanity a multiplanetary species.
And eventually extend human civilization throughout the solar system
Because the more worlds humanity can live on, the longer life and civilization itself have a chance to survive
At the same time, none of that future exists without people
That is why he keeps warning about collapsing birth rates and pushing humanity to actually believe in having a future worth continuing.... Elon literally inspired millions of people to have kids and that future will be good and be hopeful
More life
More opportunity
More intelligence
More abundance
More worlds
A civilization that keeps multiplying, expanding and reaching farther instead of slowly disappearing
And the crazy part is how many things that once sounded completely impossible around Elon eventually started becoming reality
Reusable orbital rockets
Electric cars at massive scale
Global satellite internet
Cars driving themselves
Humanoid robots entering the real world
A serious path toward making humanity multiplanetary
Again and again, ideas people laughed at became engineering programs, then products, then infrastructure
That happens because Elon does not think about the future like most people
He goes absurdly deep
First principles thinking: physics, math, engineering, and execution
And then he keeps pushing until reality moves
If there is one person to trust with the future of humanity....to make it better, stronger, freer, more prosperous and capable of surviving far into the future....it is Elon Musk
Because he makes the world a better place... He is literally the hope for humanity
Another big statement against the Senate bill.
The trade union representing 860,000 electrical workers says the bill will cost "hundreds of thousands of good-paying construction jobs."
I hadn't seen this statement reported anywhere else.
BREAKING: Odds of Elon Musk creating a new political party in 2025 surge to 41%
The spike comes after Elon proposed forming the "America Party."
Is it time for another choice in America?
It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!
Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.
