Hopefully the debate on GBR performance at the rowing includes an opportunity to reflect on the arbitrary cut-offs between the value of bronze & 4th, top 6 and 6-12. Yes that’s the game, but compared to 1st vs not 1st, it is 100% an invented one.

@RowingVoice @graemercoleman Indeed I have. This is the breakdown for all countries with 5 or more boats. Obviously countries like NZL & AUS have done exceptionally well in converting finalists into medal, whereas GB had 75% of finalists finish 4th
