I also pay close attention to whether the dev has a track record I can trust. A strong community can help, but trust and transparency matter just as much.

No coin is risk-free, and hype alone is never enough.

Solana's SGP-0003 vote would make compute efficiency matter for the first time.

Right now, the base fee is 5,000 lamports flat — the same whether your transaction uses 20% of its requested compute or 100%.

SGP-0003 adds a 0.1-lamport charge per requested compute unit, burned. Right-size your compute and pay less. Over-request and pay a premium.

Analyst @MostlyData_ ran the first protocol-level simulation. The average Solana transaction over-requests by ~20%.

Daily $SOL burn could rise from 648 to up to 9,000 SOL. Jupiter, Titan, and DFlow all face higher per-transaction fees.
