Vice President Kashim Shettima @officialSKSM has made us proud with his speech at United Nations General Assembly!

When we speak for justice and the oppressed and when we voice our collective opposition to the evil of racism, apartheid, genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, war crimes and mass murder, it confirms our humanity, reflects our compassion and compels God to rise up on our behalf and fights for us too.

Shettima's speech, which was detailed, comprehensive and inspiring and in which he called for a long overdue permanent seat for our country at the United Nations Security Council and a 'two-state solution' to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, reinvigorated my hope for our nation and made me proud to be a Nigerian.

We are, thankfully, on the right side of history when it comes to the tragic situation in the Middle East and the carnage in Gaza.

History and posterity will count us amongst those that refused to remain silent or to be intimidated in the face of the commission of the second most cruel and barbaric holocaust in the history of humanity.

I thank God for this and I commend our Vice President for an excellent performance. God bless 🇳🇬 🙏❤️.
