Kailoh was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency along with a rare condition – posterior urethral valves that ultimately caused kidney damage.
Kailoh is now 5 months old and in stage 4 kidney disease, which means he has severe loss of kidney function.
There is no access to the specialists and resources that he needs where we live. Though he is not on dialysis yet, we know that it is our future, along with a kidney transplant.
Kailoh needs to receive an adult kidney. Our goal is to make sure he has access to everything he needs until he is big enough to receive a transplant.
This fundraiser is to help Kailoh along the way. Thank you for considering to contribute towards his journey fighting kidney disease.

@lifeinchaos_ and later i'll remember, or I'll find proof of the event (esp if it's recurrent) and at that point it'll be 'too late' or if you bring it up, you some how "manufactured" the evidence because you couldn't think of it during the argument.
It's frustrating.
@lifeinchaos_ sometimes, when emotions are heightened (like in the middle of an argument), I feel like I can't remember SPECIFIC dates, but I remember how it made me feel, words that might've been said, etc.
like do I have to take notes every time there's an infraction just in case?
@JeffChangx My son is almost 2 and is very clean (which is surprising but awesome to see unfold) and I got him one toy. It's a toy vacuum with cute little color "dusties" and the second he unwrapped it he squealed. He's played with it between every nap and at night.
He's so happy.
@chukroxx I also have a Naomi born early (just a few weeks tho) and way too small - and she's definitely a thriving little 5yo.
Congrats on your little one and I wish you all the best. Welcome to the world Omi!
@ohhanxiety If you had asked me as a kid, I would imagine the little chart in my head, with the 56 on top and then the plus sign and the 29 on bottom.
Then I would've added 6+9 and then carried the one, and then added 5+2+1 to equal 85.
My new way is faster in my head.
And with that...my first semester of my PhD has ended. All As (of course!).
Now, to prepare for break!
Over break I'm reading subs for 2 fellowships, reading CNF subs for 1 literary magazine, working on a novel, and starting my dissertation research.
Oh, and mom stuff.

Imagine my shock when I (a woman going for her PhD with tenure track professorship plans) discovered that many of my professors (across several unis) don't have a PhD.
I mean, I would've done this anyway but chile....you mean I could've gotten tenure track without the reqs?

Please.... please... we don't take things from the water. Voodoo or not.
PUT IT BACK. Smh.
