L-Cysteine is an amino acid, found naturally, as a building block in foods. Scientists discovered a very cheap way to extract L-Cysteine from human hair, hog hair & duck feathers.

The cheapest & most profitable for big food & pharmaceutical companies is to use human hair. L-Cysteine is obtained by (Hydrolysis)...boiling human hair in concentrated hydrochloric acid, followed by electrolysis.

This method is known for being the cheapest, with most of the hair sourced from barbershops & hair salons in India & China. Cut hair is swept into industrial buckets then sent for chemical extraction with the final additive product shipped to the US.
