@AGHamilton29 Yes Folarin Balogun should voluntarily sit out the biggest came of his life - and the biggest game in US history - to score some weird political points or something against Trump. All for a play that shouldn’t have resulted in a red card to begin with. Just too stupid for words.
@kbhau1@LFCLaurie They almost missed out on CL this year. If they sold Ibou and replaced him with a young cb it’s not a guarantee they make CL. & we saw how much performances dropped after selling regular starters this year. If they sold half the back line there’s no guarantee they win the league
@rashtheredlfc @stoolpresidente All I’m saying is that from a sporting perspective, it’s been, overall, an extremely successful project under FSG. Be careful what you wish for. The odds the next ownership group are more noble, local, and successful stewards of the club seem rather slim.
@rashtheredlfc @stoolpresidente It’s just odd to see people talk about FSG like they should be run out of town. Look at Chelsea now - the next ownership group could be disastrous.
@rashtheredlfc @stoolpresidente My point is their stewardship of the club has been extraordinarily successful. You’d be hard pressed to find a supporter, or any football fan, who’d say that 2000-2010 was remotely comparable to the club’s success in the 16 years that followed. Carragher and Gerrard would agree.
