The hungry ghost of tech is speeding up at such a rate especially with Ai that is destroying people’s wellbeing. These tools may have benefits but the misaligned incentives of market forces and sucking of attention and activity is draining humans life force. More than ever we need human centric design. These technologies should allow machines to do machines and return time and space to humanity. This compression of people’s time and attention economically and mentally is destructive. A future of tech led abundance is a hollow promise if the path is littered with its antithesis.
@sue_xbt Web 3 ended. Some assets and tech got absorbed into preexisting finance and power structures. And Ai ate its shiny new tech position. Big tech and big gov don’t want the cypherphunk dream of “read write own”. It’s a sideshow let’s see its value is going forward. :)
