How I used to identify good stocks quickly in 4 steps for analysis when I was a new investor.

👉First Step- I used to download Broad Market Indices “Fact Sheets” for below mentioned indices from NSE website.
1⃣NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index
2⃣NIFTY Smallcap 50 Index
3⃣NIFTY Midcap 100 Index
4⃣NIFTY Microcap 250 Index
5⃣NIFTY Smallcap 250 Index
6⃣NIFTY LargeMidcap 250 Index
7⃣NIFTY MidSmallcap 400 Index
8⃣NIFTY 500 Index

I used to simply type Keyword in google “NIFTY Midcap 100 Index Factsheet” or “NIFTY LargeMidcap 250 Index Factsheet” etc.

👉Second Step- In factsheet, I used to see Top 10 stocks of index constituents by weightage and list those stocks my excel sheet. In this way I used to have 70-80 stocks from above mentioned 8 indices factsheets.

👉Third Step- I used to search out of these stocks, which stocks most of the mutual funds are holding in their portfolio. This used to give me some confidence from research and quality point of view because MFs do detail due diligence before buying stocks.

👉Fourth Step- After completing step 1, 2 & 3, I used to select stocks for my own analysis.

As I was new, I found this was the simplest and easy way to find out good stocks for analysis.
