Karnataka is home in different ways to different people. For some, it is where they were born. For others, it is where they found work, friends, a language they learnt, or simply a place that slowly became their own.
Perhaps that is why Kuvempu’s idea of Karnataka as a 'sarva janangada shantiya thota' — a garden of peace for all people — still feels so relevant.
Happy Karnataka Rajyotsava. ❤️💛

The Family Password
Kelechi changed the Wi-Fi password because his siblings were using too much internet.
He told everyone, “Nobody gets the new password.”
Five minutes later, his younger sister entered the room.
“Brother, please give me the password.”
“No.”
“Please.”
“No.”
She left.
Ten minutes later, Kelechi noticed everyone was online.
He became suspicious.
“How did you people get the password?”
His mother walked in.
“I gave it to them.”
Kelechi stared at her.
“Mummy! I told everyone not to use it!”
She shrugged.
“This is my house.”
Kelechi sighed.
His mother smiled.
“Change the password again if you want.”
Kelechi whispered, “There is no privacy in this family.”
