When I arrived home today, Anitha was accompanied by four children. It was Bihan, Bhavik, Badari, and young Sandhya who made today so special. The last time I saw them, these children were completely lost, not knowing what to do after the sudden demise of their parents. Seeing them today, running around the house like they've known us forever, filled my heart. Out of the void left by losing their father and mother, they now have a home of their own.
Sandhya, a native of Amboori, is a child who paints her life beautifully with confidence. Right before leaving, Sandhya gave me a surprise gift—a portrait of Rahul Gandhi and me that she had drawn. I was amazed; words are not enough to praise her talent. This moment also brings the immense satisfaction of seeing Bihan, Bhavik, and Badari so happy.

Had some time over the weekend to catch up on a podcast and has given me some food for thought. It talked about the tendency many of us have to assume the worst - it’s easy to interpret every missed call, disagreement or mistake as deliberate or careless. The default reaction is often to think there’s a negative intent behind it.
The suggestion was simple: start by assuming positive intent. Not in a naive way and not at the cost of accountability. But just pausing before jumping to conclusions and giving people the benefit of doubt.
It’s a small mindset shift but can go a long way in teamwork. A must listen: https://t.co/5SyRzjWJwP
India's oldest economic intelligence is a Marwari opening a shop: Marwari merchants did not sustain a 3-century track record of being early through luck. They have the instincts to know a city is growing before its economists, planners, or investors do.

My commencement address to the students of the Fore School of Management in New Delhi last month. I spoke about the quotes on the walls of my office, why they inspire me, and how the graduating class could benefit from their wisdom. Comments welcome.
