ALERT: Quadriplegic woman's mother wipes her tears away after the man who shoved her in front of a subway train is sentenced.

Emine Ozsoy, an award-winning artist from Turkey, was randomly shoved by the head and neck into a moving subway car by Kamal Semrade, leaving her a quadriplegic.

Ozsoy, who is bound to a motorized chair, said, “I am in this condition because of this evil action.”

Michael Fineman, Semrade’s attorney, asked the judge for leniency when sentencing Semrade, citing his mental health problems.

Semrade showed no signs of remorse, even refusing to apologize to Ozsoy.

Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Althea Drysdale said, “I’ve waited to see you, Mr. Semrade, express a scintilla of remorse. None has been forthcoming.”

Drysdale called the randomness of the attack “profoundly disturbing.”

Semrade was sentenced to 20 years in Prison.
