Instead of politicians fighting over whether 2 or 6 stanzas of our national song should be sung, and TV anchors turning Vande Mataram into a test, I wish we spent that energy making India live up to just one line: “Sujalam, Suphalam, Malayaja Sheetalam”- a land blessed with clean, abundant water, rich harvests and pure, fragrant air. 6 –हमारे लोकतंत्र की यह ट्रेजेडी और कॉमेडी है कि कई लोग जिन्हें आजन्म जेलखाने में रहना चाहिए वे जिन्दगी भर संसद या विधानसभा में बैठते हैं ।

7- विचार जब लुप्त हो जाता है, या विचार प्रकट करने में बाधा होती है, या किसी के विरोध से भय लगने लगता है, तब तर्क का स्थान हुल्लड़ या गुंडागर्दी ले लेती है ।

8- बेइज्जती में अगर दूसरे को भी शामिल कर लो तो आधी इज्जत बच जाती है।

9- जब शर्म की बात गर्व की बात बन जाए, तब समझो कि जनतंत्र बढिय़ा चल रहा है।

10- जो पानी छानकर पीते हैं, वो आदमी का खून बिना छाने पी जाते हैं।

11- सोचना एक रोग है, जो इस रोग से मुक्त हैं और स्वस्थ हैं, वे धन्य हैं।

12- हीनता के रोग में किसी के अहित का इंजेक्शन बड़ा कारगर होता है।

13- नारी-मुक्ति के इतिहास में यह वाक्य अमर रहेगा कि ‘एक की कमाई से पूरा नहीं पड़ता।

14- एक बार कचहरी चढ़ जाने के बाद सबसे बड़ा काम है, अपने ही वकील से अपनी रक्षा करना ।
