Building in public update 👷♂️
Just got some great feedback from the test users.
Not everyone has time to hand-pick engineering standards one by one.
So we’re adding smart defaults the best laws and rules recommended for your profession and field, right on the onboarding page.
That way you get the latest, battle-tested DevLaws applied automatically from day one.
Sat in the corner of my room for 3 hours trying to market DevLaws 😩Marketing hard but i won't quite that easily.
Building easy.
Original idea: make SWE & engineering laws (Conway, Brooks, etc.) super easy to read and remember.
Real problem: even when we know them, AI and team still breaks them daily.
So DevLaws now turns those laws into active guardrails inside Cursor/Claude/Copilot keeps the team on the same page.

Every requirement, UI change, and feature request comes straight from copy pasting GPT output. I try explaining technical trade offs and the real magnitude of the system we’re building… and I get another GPTgenerated reply. We’re supposed to build, test, and launch the MVP by June 3rd (like 2-3 days away).

Today the founder DMs me (the backend dev) saying he “doesn’t like the frontend.” Bro talk to the frontend guy. We don’t have time for vague feedback + random “remove this / add this back in 2 hours” changes while racing toward MVP launch.

Anyone else dealing with AI overreliance and zero product sense from founders right now? This gig has real long-term potential if we can get aligned. Just venting over here #freelance#buildinpublic#startups#webdev

Dealing with non technical founders who treat ChatGPT like their fullstack engineer and PM Landed what seemed like a great longterm freelance gig: building a transportation platform with wallets, masked calls, reverse trip system,WebSockets, real time features, and scaling to 1,000+ users. The problem? Everything is “ChatGPT said so.”

The Windows of opportunity isn't closing gradually with each AI breakthrough you can either position yourself as someone who directs technology or someone who gets replaced by it, everyday you delay and everyday someone gets ahead the best time to starts doesn't exist start today
Real talk:
Spent the weekend on marketing instead of coding.

Still learning, but every “no” teaches me something.
Anyone else building in public and struggling with outreach?
Building a startup teaches you one thing fast:
nobody is coming to save your product.
Distribution, engineering, support, design, marketing you either learn them or your product dies.
