Science and technology are the foundation of our sovereignty and a pillar of our prosperity.
To accelerate Ethiopia’s structural transformation, we have made science and technology a central driver of economic growth and national development. Guided by a clear education policy, the government is committed to building a skilled, innovative, and productive workforce.
Today, we attended the graduation ceremony of the 2018 E.C. class at Adama Science and Technology University a proud milestone as these young engineers and innovators begin a new chapter of contribution and creation.
Our science and technology universities must serve as centers of innovation, conducting research that addresses national challenges and developing solutions suited to our context. Adama Science and Technology University’s achievements in this regard are highly commendable.
Ethiopia’s educated youth carry a historic responsibility to advance creativity, scientific excellence, and innovation. Their contribution will be essential to overcoming challenges and realizing our vision for digital transformation and sustainable development.
The government will continue to support science and technology graduates and foster an environment where research, innovation, and talent can thrive.
