September 7: In honor of #DeafAwarenessMonth, if you are Deaf/HoH and use hearing aids or a cochlear implant, how often do you actually use them? I got smart with Mine cos I'm HOH and I'm also RN.

@parapism @Sammycad77 This may be due to modern, digital hearing aids being discrete and much more powerful. The NHS provides Behind the Ear (BTE) styles, which have a small box behind the ear and a thin tube linking the box to the front of the ear, I don't think they're useless, it's just preferences

Should be fundamental right and there should be no excuses by NHS. Or other medical professionals only when we have such things in place can we as deaf have an equal footing an those in the deaf community with rare medical conditions
