Dear Grey Network Community,
As part of our commitment to developing real world utilities around $GREY, we are pleased to share an update on one of the core ecosystem utilities currently under development: the Grey Network Marketplace.
A few days ago, we introduced the Marketplace button inside the Grey Network mining app, giving our community a first look at one of the utilities we are actively building. The Marketplace, also accessible at https://t.co/pctwxKQVct, is part of our broader vision to create practical use cases for $GREY and establish an ecosystem where the coin serves a genuine purpose beyond mining.

The Grey Network Marketplace will allow users to shop for goods from participating merchants, pay with $GREY, and have their purchases delivered to their location. Through our Merchant Program, verified businesses will be able to register their stores and upload products for buyers to discover and purchase.
The Marketplace will initially support regional commerce, connecting buyers with merchants within or close to their region. As the merchant network grows, our goal is to expand beyond regional commerce into a global marketplace where users can purchase goods from merchants around the world and have them delivered to their locations.

At the heart of the Marketplace is $GREY as the means of payment. Goods and services offered through the platform will be purchased using $GREY, giving the coin a direct and practical function within the ecosystem. Merchants joining the Merchant Program will be required to accept $GREY and comply with applicable Marketplace policies covering product standards, merchant conduct, pricing, transactions, fulfilment, delivery and the applicable $GREY valuation.
The USD value of $GREY referenced within the Marketplace represents the estimated value being considered by Grey Network for the coin. While this remains subject to confirmation as development progresses, merchants participating in the Marketplace will be required to recognise and comply with the applicable $GREY value established by Grey Network.
Users will always have the freedom to use their $GREY as they choose, including trading or selling it elsewhere. Our goal is to build an ecosystem where $GREY has practical utility and can be used to access real goods, services and other utilities.

The Grey Network Marketplace is currently under active development. The products, prices, checkout actions, wallet interactions and other elements currently visible are part of the development version and should not be interpreted as live commercial transactions. No real world funds or physical product deliveries are currently being processed through the platform.

The Marketplace is one of many utilities planned for the Grey Network ecosystem and an important step toward our broader vision. Mining is only one part of that journey. More details about the Marketplace, Merchant Program, launch timeline and other ecosystem utilities will be shared as development progresses through our official roadmap.

A CASE OF TERROR, LAND GRABBING, SHOOTING, AND ATTEMPTED MURDER IN OMALIMA LAYOUT, OZE NKWELLE EZUNAKA, OYI LOCAL GOVT, ANAMBRA STATE.
Recently, I visited my brother, who is a landlord in the said Layout, and was amazed by the great work our Governor, Prof Charles Soludo did, which is the completion of the 33 Nkwelle to Tarzan road by St Charles Bus stop. The road is really serving its purpose and kudos to the Governor.
Jokingly, I told my brother that I would like to own a property there. He said, "My Counsel,as he fondly calls me, I hope you have saved enough money for police case because Police station no be courtroom ooo". He then told me to make some contact at 33 police station to understand the gravity of the issues in the layout. Well, I thought it's nothing serious, until recently on July 16th, 2026 when one of my brothers, Paulinus Aniekwe, who is a landlord in the same layout was shot in the head and macheted by Udogachi security loyal to the former chairman of the Layout, one Mr. Ikechukwu Umeh ( AKA Nwaji mma egbu agu) who has been an appointed chairman for 7 years.
PRELUDE TO THE SHOOTING INCIDENT:
The problem started when the former appointed chairman Ikechukwu Umeh, who also doubled as a land agent and soul administrator of the Layout, was alleged to have sold another big man's land. He was arrested by the man together with his alleged unlicensed security boys he employed for the purpose of land grabbing and bundled to Abuja by the police.
For two months he was in detention, the layout was left without security and leadership and the Layout two main gates were left opened day and night without security. Incident of kidnapping was recorded twice in the Layout within the two months he was in detention, so the residents and landlords came together and decided to conduct an election and govern themselves since the former appointed Chairman was not living or owned property in the Layout.
After the election which was witnessed by several government bodies, including the Nigerian police 33 division, Otuocha area Command, The Nigeria Army, and NTA, was concluded, a new chairman by the person of Harrison Onu emerged with his executives elected and reside in the Layout and new government was formed. The new government then applied for security personnel from the Udogachi high command in Awka and security personnels were assigned to them.
When the former Appointed Chairman who had a personal land case in Abuja finally returned and was told that the residents have decided to govern themselves and that he should handover to the new chairman, he refused and swore over his dead body. The former appointed chairman together with the former Oze community leader used their influence and highjacked the security personnel deployed in the Layout and have been using them to intimidate the residents and landlords.
My brother Paulinus who is a member of the residents and landlords association was trying to plead on behalf of the new chairman who was being harassed and beaten by the security men working for the former appointed chairman when he was shot at close range and macheted by udogachi security personnel loyal to the former chairman as seen the videos attached. The newly elected chairman was shot as well.
The case has been in SCID for weeks, and there are no concrete actions by the police. The suspect was released after a day and Mr Chinedu Diyelu, the man who ordered the security to shoot my brother is still moving around freely. Instead of treating the case as attempted murder, because of alleged bribes and government influence by those who were given free lands in the layout, the IPO has really frustrated the case and is trying everything possible to reinstall the former chairman against the will of the landlords and residents of OMALIMA LAYOUT.
I therefore urge the relevant government bodies to urgently look into this matter to prevent further escalation and unrest.
