Meet Sekiera Thompson-Fowler, AKA Coach!  Coach Fowler endures the heat & cold each day to bring fun to PE. This is a very busy week for Coach as she preps for Axson’s Field Day. We are thankful we have a positive, energetic PE teacher leading our students!

Ms. Deta Weaver, the Mary Poppins of Upper Elem, started subbing at Axson & when she made Jacksonville her home, she joined Axson permanently. Ms. Deta is a gentle but firm, and supports students in growing in all areas. We are so thankful Ms. Deta chose Axson!

Good luck to our two robotics teams, The Robo Rockers and The Rising Robo Rockers. They are headed to regionals tomorrow at Atlantic Coast High from 12:55pm to 1:40. Axson families are welcome to come out and cheer them on!

5th Grader, Anvika Gupta, in Mrs. Myers Class will represent J. Allen Axson at the DCPS Spelling Bee next Thursday, Feb 23rd at Wolfson High! She will compete with 25 other Spelling Bee representatives from Elementary/Middle Schools in Duval.

Mrs. Ericka Hooten joined Axson 1st as a sub & then joined our Upper Elementary Team. She's a robotics team coach. She's also known for her incredible relationships with her students & amazing student growth. We are so thankful that Ms. Ericka chose Axson!
