Two years ago I retired from pro soccer with the goal of Building Better Neighborhoods
Since then I’ve been a part of
• Developing 301 homes
• Signing leases with amazing small businesses
• Building offices for Fortune 500 companies
• Creating some of the city’s best public spaces
And we’re just getting started!

Three "rules" that will improve your attacking.
Pass to a player who is on the move, rather than one who is standing still.
If we have an overload pass more. If we have an underload, dribble more to create an overload.
Cross early while our forwards are on the move and defenders aren't set.

@AngrySoccerGuy Another problem is most kids don’t live near each other. Most kids dont have the chance to go out and play with their friends since many children need to be driven to fields to begin with. It’s hard to get kids to fields on their own
Church parking lots are often needed a few times a week but otherwise sit empty. How can churches and cities better use this valuable land?
- Share parking during the week.
- Use a grass lot that can double as a sports field.
- Paint the lot so it can double as a kids' play area.
We are so focused on trying to build affordable housing that we aren't doing the simple things that would make housing affordable.
Here's a story from my hometown (Brainerd, MN) that will likely sound familiar. 🧵
Good to know in 2024, Houston's mayor and city council voted today on expanding highways through downtown. I'm sure one more lane will fix it, this time.
Momentum is on our side.
Bipartisan, statewide zoning reforms have passed in Montana, Maine, Oregon, and California. The politics of housing have shifted in a dramatic and permanent way. 💪
“If you don’t see women, if you don’t see kids, if you don’t see the elderly going about; it doesn’t mean they don’t exist. It just means you’re not serving them.“
An inspiring day speaking with two inspiring women: Tirana Deputy Mayor @Anuela Ristani and Bicycle Mayor @IPetraj.
Last week, Houston officials said they were broke. That doesn't mean what you think it means (it's actually worse) and it's not caused by what they want you to think it's caused by.
This is what a Ponzi scheme looks like. 1/
“Car crashes are the leading cause of death for Americans aged 1 to 39. They rank in the top 5 killers for Americans 65 & under. If US roads were a war zone, they would be the most dangerous battlefield the American military has ever encountered.” https://t.co/QeS6g0fUcD
