The point is that when you're a big enough company you get to mostly push the market around if you can get enough investors behind it

Worth noting that the billions the company makes are in microtransactions. This has far surpassed game sales for them. That's where the bulk of the growth has been in the last decade

@KahliefAdams I'm sure there are good arguments against what I've put out; but if you're going to base your game on addictive gameplay, then just let people subscribe, get all the content, and just play.

@KahliefAdams I think it is imperative to find a middle ground - because while I think we should just take MTX outback old yeller style, I also know that it is fiscally an impossibility. I think from there it depends on the style of game...

@KahliefAdams Mobile F2P is different. At that point... honestly? Just go the Spotify route and ask people for a $10/month subscription. Then let them just play.

@KahliefAdams So let's say AAA. I don't think you should have microtransactions that more than double the cost of your game. This doesn't include DLC. Sell your 'fits in bigger packs, or whatever.
