What our friends in the USA are telling us.....USAID is being defunded including the local #SA🇿🇦 staff. The cutting of funds through USAID is impacting on ALL countries that receive funding for HIV. Despite the US court’s intervention, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is also being defunded. So the CDC only has funding until the end of March 2025. This will result in the CDC not being able to meet their commitments to projects globally including some in #SouthAfrica. There are fears in the US about cuts to campaigns to distribute flu & other vaccines which can have adverse effects to older & other vulnerable people there too.
