A lone female police inspector who was nearby rushed to Westfield Bondi Junction, Sydney, upon hearing of multiple stabbings. She shot the perpetrator dead. He has murdered 5 people. More are in a serious or critical condition, a police press conference has just heard.

Storm Season kicks off with damaging winds hitting Sydney & NSW. Overnight, NSW SES received 200 calls for help as strong winds caused damage, particularly in Sydney Metro, where 150+ volunteers responded to 48 incidents.
