Good news and bad news: Sonnet 5 is looking like it will be excellent, fast and cost effective. Fable 5 looks like it might be API pricing

You need to tell your friends you'll be in Turks for the week

When the fireworks are going off Friday,, you're squarely staring at your phone maintaining your Fable coding loop

You do what it takes to lock in and use these new models hardcore when they drop/come back

As you probably learned with the last Fable release, the first few days are a massive opportunity to get ahead.

If you can leverage Fable 5 effectively, you can literally move mountains

Take these actions now:

• Download Claude Code Desktop (best way to use Claude Code)
• Get your OpenClaw/Hermes ready for the update
• Turn on the setting in Claude Code that auto turns on remote sessions so you can code on the go
• Moment the new model drops plug it in and use it

Unfortunately it appears the world has changed and we are never going back

OpenAI just announced GPT-5.6 Sol, a model that beats Mythos at 1/3 the price

It will only be in limited release to start as the government reviews it

The days of wide release frontier models are over

The years of some executives shilling AI as a world destroying technology that needs regulation got what they wanted, regulation

Now only the select few will get access to super intelligence. Leaving the normie class behind

It's a massive loss. Now winners and losers will be picked by the government. Which sucks.

All of this doomerism has done nothing but slow America down

On the positive side, Fable 5 will have competition

It appears OpenAI has discovered a new post training technique that is allowing them to make revolutionary jumps at a fraction of the price

That is unbelievably positive for all consumers.

Will be counting down the days until I get to use this model

In the meantime I hope this was a wake up call to the entire industry that our words and marketing matter

It happened.

Apple has dramatically raised the prices on almost ALL of their products

This is only the beginning too. In Micron's earnings yesterday they announced memory price hikes for at least 4 more years

I predicted 5 months ago prices of all computers would triple soon enough

In the next few days I'll be going out to custom build a 5090 computer at Microcenter.

The math is simple:

• More and more data centers are being built to support development of frontier models like Fable
• Local AI is becoming incredible
• Intelligence is starting to be implemented in EVERY consumer device
• The 2 most popular products of 2036- drones and humanoid robots will require memory in every single one made
• Supply isn't increasing because it takes years to increase production of this incredibly complex supply chain

Put that all together, and that tells you we are only in day 1 of this crisis

I started investing in Micron in February when I started posting about this (not financial advice)
